New cards to share!

Sometimes the packaging is so pretty, I just can't toss it! This card was made with the insert of some felt thickers. I folded the cardstock, trimmed the end with my fiskars threading water punch for the pretty scallops then decorated with a die cut butterfly. The center of the butterfly is made from the black top of the packaging! Turned out pretty cute for paper I was just going to toss into the recycling bin!

Paper Popsicles is at it again with their "must have" kits. This month they came out with 2 amazing card kits. These are the cards I made with one of the kits! I still have the creative stamps and loads of scraps left to make more cards in the future! Check out the fall card kit at their website...the link is http://www.paperpopsicles.com/

I missed the spring crop with my friends down under at S4L because of my hectic work schedule! Then having trouble with the modem and internet connection didn't help much either! I did manage to create a springy card and included a cute butterfly that Beccy sent to me!!! I sparkled it up with the copic markers I received last week and voila.....even though it's fall here....I still love a spring card!

A few cards for a challenge at http://www.lovebugscrapbooking.com/ , and I had fun fun fun making these! I love this BG paper, the colors of fall are my favorite!!!

Back in the Groove of Things

With the girls back in school, I've had much more free time to play with my scrap stuff!

In the past few days, I've completed a small Kaiser Tag album, a few cards and a few layouts for challenges! I also picked up some neat storage cubes from the local Michaels' store and have been rearranging things. I should post some recent pictures of my tiny space soon. So tiny...not the perfect room ...but I love it none the less!

These items were made with supplies provided from http://www.lovebugscrapbooking.com/ 's August kit. The Kaiser Album is from an eBay store called Paper Patch Crafts.

The thank you card:

I've also spend some time playing with some great kits from http://www.paperpopsicles.com/ This page and small album are made with the supplies in the August Mini Kit.

These last layouts and cards use supplies from a previous Months Mini Kit from http://www.paperpopsicles.com/ Such cute papers!

More Challenges and Layouts for my Albums

I've been trying hard to squeeze in some scrapping time! Getting the girls ready for back to school, taking a short family vacation, trying to keep up with the house work has kept me busy. Now, the girls are back at school and I have a few more days left of my vacation so I'm taking this time to scrap some of our summer memories.

Several of the websites I frequent hold monthly or weekly challenges. It's a wonderful way to put my kits to use and scrap some great photos!

Birthday Cards

I usually don't apply for these positions but making birthday cards is something I do all the time anyway...So I submitted 4 birthday cards for the Paper Popsicles guest designer October spot. I didn't win but I do have 4 great cards to give to family and friends. Thought I'd share them with you here!

They are made using some awesome supplies from http://www.paperpopsicles.com/ Melissa puts together some really great, affordable kits that won't disappoint! The backround birthday stamp is embossed with perfect pearls and the stamp is from http://www.thatsjazzystampdreams.com/

Sheila runs her own little stamping company and they are often included in the kits!

A New Page from A Great Sketch

This sketch was posted over at paperpatchcrafts as sketch of the week. It is a Basic Grey sketch (I think?) Anyway, a great one to do!

The photo was snapped from the living room window a few days ago while the girls were walking home holding hands! Ironic since they hadn't been getting along for most of the day!

The papers, ribbons, rub ons are all from the awesome Sugar N' Spice August kit! I absolutely LOVED my first kit from this new site!!! Thank You Heather!!!!

First 2008 Christmas Card

I love to work on my Christmas cards, this is the first I made for Christmas 2008. I stitched with dark red zig zag stitch around the perimeter, used prima leaves, flowers and swirls. Merry Christmas is a rub on transfer.
