Birthday Cards

I usually don't apply for these positions but making birthday cards is something I do all the time anyway...So I submitted 4 birthday cards for the Paper Popsicles guest designer October spot. I didn't win but I do have 4 great cards to give to family and friends. Thought I'd share them with you here!

They are made using some awesome supplies from http://www.paperpopsicles.com/ Melissa puts together some really great, affordable kits that won't disappoint! The backround birthday stamp is embossed with perfect pearls and the stamp is from http://www.thatsjazzystampdreams.com/

Sheila runs her own little stamping company and they are often included in the kits!

A New Page from A Great Sketch

This sketch was posted over at paperpatchcrafts as sketch of the week. It is a Basic Grey sketch (I think?) Anyway, a great one to do!

The photo was snapped from the living room window a few days ago while the girls were walking home holding hands! Ironic since they hadn't been getting along for most of the day!

The papers, ribbons, rub ons are all from the awesome Sugar N' Spice August kit! I absolutely LOVED my first kit from this new site!!! Thank You Heather!!!!

Here is the sketch:

First 2008 Christmas Card

I love to work on my Christmas cards, this is the first I made for Christmas 2008. I stitched with dark red zig zag stitch around the perimeter, used prima leaves, flowers and swirls. Merry Christmas is a rub on transfer.

Some Fun Cards!

Some welcome cards I made recently to send out to a friend! These were fun to make, they will be donated to an elementary school to then be sent out to new families as a welcome to their new community/classroom! I thought it was a wonderful idea!

A Fun Family Vacation

It was only 3 days long, but packed full of fun! There is never a dull moment in Niagara Falls, the girls had thrills riding the roller coaster at Marineland and visiting the interesting museums! Then it was to the city of Toronto to go up in the CN Tower to stand on the famous "glass floor" and walk the outdoor deck! The CasaLoma Castle is a must tour for anyone with little "princesses", we even got to climb the tower! Very cool!

More Fun Challenges

A good challenge always gets me creating pages for my albums! I have so many unfinished, or should I say..."on the go" albums that there are still soooo many photos to scrap!
This page was completed for a challenge at lovebugscrapbooking, it was for a page using only black and white. The awesome paper is from a Paper Popsicles Mini Kit (which are far from being mini).

Monthly Sketch At Paper Popsicles

The wonderful Team over at http://www.paperpopsicles.com/ always have cool challenges and contests running all month long! Check them out, theme challenges, sketch challenges, kit challenges and much more fun!
This is their sketch of the month:

This is my take on the sketch! I love the inspiration a great sketch provides!

What a Challenge!!!!!

This was my challenge from a member over at scrapbooking4less. I thought whoa....but took on the challenge anyway!!! It was a lot of fun managing all those elements.

1) Use a large circle of flowers & swirls on your layout

2) Boy colors - No pink

3) 8 photos (5 of these must be 4x6)

4) Ribbons and Lace (5 different ones of each)

5) Something form my stash that is 2 years old or older

6) Everything on the page must be distressed in some way (inked, torn, sanded, crinkled)

This is the layout that came out of this challenge!
